![]() Meet our newest Chicken Wire Mannequin. which I call my Chicken Wire Ladies. She is the 4th one of our creations. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a name yet. However, we are having some fun coming up with her name. You can hop over to our Facebook page at Shell's Vintage Charm and help name her at this post. All of our Chicken Wire Mannequins have had names and they usually get named as they are being made. They each tend to take on their own personalities and their style takes shape as they are being prepared. I have the best Prince Charming, EVER! He is always willing to help me out. I was having trouble getting my chicken wire to form the way I was wanting so he started helping me out. Little did he know that he would become my official Chicken Wire Lady maker. He has the hard part and I get to add the pretty details and watch them form their personalities, (Plus that chicken wire can really be hard on the hands. Don't forget to wear your gloves.). You can find a previous blog post, Chicken Wire and Husbands, on our old blog. The 2nd Chicken Wire Lady to join us, I called Ariel. She started out tall and reminded me of a mermaid, but during the process of coming together, she ended up being to top heavy for the bottom and we had to remove the bottom portion. So she became a Lady instead of the mermaid. So as I said earlier they pretty well decide how the personality they are going to take as they are being made. She was fortunate enough to get to travel and lives with a friend of mine, now. She received a new name at that time and is living happily as Mademoiselle Amelia. Miss Shabby, our first creation of the Chicken Wire Ladies. She holds a very special spot in my heart and one of my all time favorite pieces. As you can see they are all different and very one of a kind. In case you are wondering, I don't have a picture of our 3rd one and her name is Carol. She is currently a fixture and resides in our vendor booth at Baker's Mercantile, in Tishomingo, OK. Go over to our Facebook post and help give Our newest addition to the Chicken Wire Ladies a name. We will be voting on a name soon.
