You know that moment… You see that perfect, rusty treasure from across the way. All sound disappears, your eyes are locked on it and you can see nothing, but that rusty goodness. That treasure, you didn’t know you were looking for, but know it was meant to be. It was put there just for you to find! Your heart starts beating a little faster. Your feet picks up the pace and they begin to move on their own accord. You are standing there in front of it and you know, you are not leaving there without it. Yes, that moment… I had no idea, I was looking for a rusty truck door. I went out looking that day for something to use for some new booth displays. But… there it was! It is rusty, a little beat up, it been around the block, more than a time or two. I’m sure it has countless stories to tell about all the adventures it has been on. It is the perfect fit for our new logo. It fits right in with our brand. It is full of Vintage Charm. Oh yes, it is coming home with me! Prince Charming took it to the car wash and washed out all the old dirt and the crime off it and it is now waiting to be painted. I couldn’t make up my mind, how I really wanted to paint it. So we finally just decided to make the door to match the door on the logo. SVC on the door is grey and of course the truck isn’t rusty, but didn’t want to paint the door, and lose all the rusty charm. We decided to just paint SVC in Bliss, a paint color from Country Chic Paint. Gave it a good spay of Poly. The Polycrylic popped out the old lettering that was previously on the door and I was a little alarmed at first, but decided that it was part of the original door and decided it only helped to add to its rusty, vintage charm. It is now home and a part of our décor for our vendor booth location at Two Hip Chicks Marketplace, in Norman, Oklahoma.
